Equipped with one of the most useful and innovative features, the AUTOTRONIK-SMT Smart Tape Feeders set a new standard for accurate, reliable and economical feeding equipment. A new super-slim design maximizes the number of Smart Tape Feeders on the placement machine and guarantees an extra smooth and fast tape feed by means of a specially developed electronic motor control. Every single AUTOTRONIK-SMT Smart Feeder is equipped with a DB-9 connector and thus fits on every feeder bank of the BA/HD series. This interface allows the connection between the machine software and the memory module built into the feeder. An individual ID is stored in the memory module, which uniquely identifies the feeder, with information such as feeder position, component data and belt specifications. AUTOTRONIK-SMT Smart Feeders are available from 8mm to 72mm belt width and increments from 2mm (for 01005 to 0402) up to 36mm. An optional barcode reader system is available to simplify the input of component data.
